In the men’s K1 E.J. looked very much at home on this feature throwing all the big pointer moves in 45 seconds. Easy to see why he is the current world champion throwing some huge moves all day long. Brian Kirk went big getting third while Andrew Holcombe stayed in the feature when it counted getting second place.
I was originally placed 3rd in C1 and only a few points from the lead, so I was able to get many big moves out placing some of my heroes. Unfortunately in the finals my head was not in the game and I could not stick any of my big ariel moves and slipped down to fifth. As for OC1 another third was on the cards for me. I was trying very hard to loop the Salsa like I did in training, however again just like the C1 finals, I flushed more times than I would have liked.
As for the juniors Dane tore it up as usual winning this event.
