Opening ceremony is tonight

Last night was the party for international athletes down at the fairground campsite which was quite fun. All the athletes from around the world having fun, kicking back with a barbeque and some tunes. It’s crazy to see everyone here from around the world but it really is a great vibe. We have heard that there are a few television crews that are making the journey to capture this event which is quite a treat. From what I hear OLM (cable) and a few others will be here.

Right now I am sitting with about six other people with laptops at what we refer to as the internet Kiosk (an area of our campsite that we can get free wireless)

The opening ceremony is tonight which should be fun, but from then on is where we will get stuck into it. As we have mentioned it is very difficult to get moves on this feature, you really have to work for every move. It is testing us all that’s for sure.

The hydro plant here has been causing some hassles; yesterday the wave was not in all day so no one could practice on it at all. This caused a few frustrated paddlers to go to hole brothers, a short five minute drive.

As you can see we have worked out how to link video to the webpage so we will do our best to throw up more.
